Really quickly on the cycles, is it ever possible for a tree to have arrows pointing upwards from children to parents or will the arrows always be downward?
Nick Bowman (he/him)
29:49
Because of this restriction on cycles, you won’t really see arrows in trees pointing upwards from children to parents, because that would almost always introduce cycles.

Is tree an algorithm or a data structure?

Similar to the labyrinth, right?

Both this TreeNode struct and the MazeCell struct in the assignment have similarities in that they are nodes in a linked data structure that stores multiple pointers to different places in the linked data structure. However, the labyrinth isn’t a tree by definition (it has cycles) so I wouldn’t say they’re exactly the same.

will trees and the different ways of traversing them be the focus of assignment 7?
Nick Bowman (he/him)
54:29
Correct, A7 will be all about trees.
