Are their tools in Epic to help document appropriately including flow sheets? If not, did your team look into working with Epic IT to add?

Congratulations Katherine!

Yes - we took advantage of the EPIC flowsheets. There in fact is a specific seizure flowsheet already integrated into the Acute Care and Intensive Care Assessment flowsheets that we utilized. So fortunately we did not have to add in a new flowsheet, but it was a component that nurses had to add into their primary flowsheet - so education was directed there

This is great progress! Have you identified any new drivers that could help you go from 8 to 3?
Olga Grujic

Excellent Project and Results, but.. One patient can significantly impact the mean. Have you considered displaying your data in a control chart? A chart that plots each patient’s transfer time would better describe the data both pre and post intervention.

Have there been any challenges with the new protocol?

@ Anu - biggest challenge was to close the communication loop and reminding ICU and floor teams to complete hand offs after transfer

Thanks so much for this great analysis. Have you validated the accuracy of Case Manger InterQual data collection / InterQual LOC assignment? Changes in that assessment could impact your results.
Anu Phadke
01:14:35
Can InterQual include nursing acuity score in its recs or is it not a externally validated score?
