“Translating predictive accuracy gains to intervention shouldn’t be an afterthought” This seems to imply that ML practitioners need to work closely with domain experts up front to understand the intervention problem space. But they aren’t trained or incentivized to do so. Much easier to work only with a dataset and “predict” something.
