agreed, alternatively we could do an \epsilon amount of the TTbar deformation and then add it (and then do more of the TTbar deformation)
BTW I'm writing up a paper in which I argue that we ought to keep the complex energy eigenvalues.
That sounds very interesting Aron. Are you able to keep unitarity somehow?
See my recent essay on the arxiv in which I argue that the gravitational path integral is also not unitary when you restrict to a subregion... I'm thinking of the T^2 deformed theory as living on a Cauchy slice and trying to make a holographic dual which is no worse. I think unitarity is restored if you view the theory as living on certain classes of "holographic screens".
