This is exciting! Should we have attendees in the waiting room?

24:05
Can you also see the screen changing from the slide to a video?

24:55
Perfect — thank you! We are all amateurs here and it’s our first time running this kind of event ;-) so thank you for understanding! Sorry you had to hear all of us chatting at the beginning …

25:24
Haha, thank you! We have members in the lab with good taste of music …

32:31
We will begin a couple of minutes past 9:30am PDT to let people join!

Hi Tara! Thanks so much for joining us. If you have a question, please ask them in the Q&A chat window and we can respond there. I will lower your hand now. Thank you! :)

If your internet connection is slow and the video is too laggy or low-resolution, you can watch it directly on youtube using this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQANzEuuDf0 The video is about 7.5 minutes long. You can turn off sound from this webinar by clicking a small arrow next to your “mute” button and select “Leave Computer Audio”. After the video is over, you can click “join with audio” to start listening to the webinar again.

Did the researchers make the audio share directly to the computer of the participants while also transmitting their microphone’s audio?

01:02:29
Have you had any participants refusing the video recording during the session (even after they read about it in the emailed consent)?

01:05:46
You can position Sophie’s video thumbnail to the position at the bottom of the screen, too, so you can see how the gaze cues work!

01:28:54
Hi Lauren, thank you for your question! If you could post your question in Q&A, that would be great! Our lab members are monitoring and answering questions there. Thanks! :)

No problem. Thank you for your question!

Does anyone know of math and/or reading assessments (K-5) that are able to be administered over Zoom?

01:55:59
Thinking about some of the standardized assessment, some of them can be developed using powerpoints but I guess special permissions might be needed.

Many major publishers have a statement on their website as to what can/cannot be administered over Zoom. Pearson specifically has some free trials of several assessments through Q Global for at least the end of this month (maybe longer), but I’m in speech/language so I’m not sure if this will apply to math assessments
