Question: I have 2 young adult children at home who now work/study at home. I work FT and so does my oldest and my youngest is left to deal with her college work and support on her own while we work. I take time after work and weekends to support her but she has to wait which now seems like she needs support more often. Balancing this is my challenge. I'm a single parent.

Yes, this feels easier than having been severely disabled by depression and anxiety in the past, because I'm not going through it this time on my own.

Last week a friend of mine died from the virus. I’m in a high risk group and am also a single parent raising a son with autism. How do I keep the fear of death from paralyzing me?

Add on to my prior question: With the loss of structure, what type of scaffolding or similar can be put into place, to help create some predictability and stability?

Any advice for dealing with the specific anxiety symptom of struggling to focus?

Can you speak in general to how to adapt to new and frequent dissociation that's increasing because of the situation? Anything you have to say about that would be helpful.

I work with children/adults also on the spectrum and have been running into this issue too with my clients. i have my masters in applied behavior analysis and its been very helpful creating visual schedules with both images and writings (whichever is pref) and a timer is helpful! i agree jamie!

This has been soooo helpful for me personally (on the spectrum), as well as to share with the students I counsel at a community college. Thank you, too, so much for your generosity of sharing your knowledge and time without requesting $$, which allows full access for others.
