Introductory Webinar - Why Linked Data?
Please join our webinar to learn more about the use of Linked Data as a tool for sharing and disseminating Conservation Documentation. This webinar is the first event of a Linked Conservation Data Consortium funded by the UK's Arts and Humanities Research Council. More information on the goals and work of the consortium can be found at:

The program will begin with comments by Athanasios Velios and Kristen St.John introducing the Consortium and the basic premises of Linked Data. Then we’ll have three presentations by different groups aligned with cultural heritage/conservation who are either developing linked data projects or are studying the potential in their areas:
* Gallery Systems staff
* Getty Conservation Institute staff discussing Arches and DISCO
* Dominic Oldman of the ResearchSpace, British Museum

The webinar will be archived and the link shared to registrants after the event.
