Building More Inclusive Teams During Times of Change
The Stanford VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab invites Corporate Program members to join us at 9AM PT on May 26th for a webinar on "Building More Inclusive Teams During Times of Change." Professor and Stanford VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab director Shelley Correll will kick off the session by examining research that shows that, under the right conditions, diverse teams outperform homogenous teams. Yet, diversity is not enough. To realize the value of diversity, teams must also be inclusive, ensuring that all members are able to share their unique ideas and have their contributions heard and valued. Correll will share “team dynamics killers” that limit the power of teams to leverage all of their talent and will discuss evidence-based strategies for getting beyond these barriers and creating truly inclusive and successful teams.
Then, Lab Senior Research Scholar JoAnne Wehner will moderate a panel of industry leaders including: Anna Edwin, Managing Director, Global Head of Talent Development at TPG; Rhona O'Leary, Global Head of Portfolio and Product Development Strategy at Genentech; and Vijay Pendakur, Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Zynga, Inc. They will reflect on the challenges and the opportunities for building more diverse and inclusive teams and workplaces as we move into the new hybrid work environments that are emerging from the pandemic.

This webinar is open to anyone in our Corporate Program community to attend. Feel free to share the link to register broadly within your organization. We ask that you refrain from sharing externally.
The webinar lasts approximately 90 minutes.  We will reserve time for Q&A towards the end of the session. The webinar will be recorded and posted to the members-only section of our website. Live real-time captioning will be available.
